Connect your SharePoint area
One button makes a SiteCabin site in your SharePoint, where everything the app makes is saved.
Before you start
- You need to be an admin in SiteCabin.
- You also need someone who is an admin of your Microsoft 365 to sign in during this step, to approve SiteCabin. That can be you, or your IT person sitting with you.
Steps
Find the SharePoint card
In SiteCabin, open App settings and find Your SharePoint area. Press Set up in SharePoint…
Sign in as a Microsoft 365 admin
Use the account you run Microsoft 365 with.
Accept Microsoft's permission windows
Microsoft shows two or three windows asking you to approve SiteCabin. Read each one and press Accept.
If they aren't accepted, nothing is set up, and you can press the button again to start over.
Let it set up
SiteCabin makes the site, its folders and the blank workbooks it writes to, then checks them. You'll see Setting up. This takes a minute or two.
Check it's connected
The card shows Connected. Press Open in SharePoint to look at the new site.
Already have an empty site?
If your IT person has made an empty SharePoint site for SiteCabin, choose Use this site on the same card and put in its address instead.
Later on
- Check again runs the checks again if something looks wrong.
- Disconnect deletes nothing in SharePoint, but the app can't save anything until a site is connected again.
What SiteCabin can see in your Microsoft 365, and how to cut it off, is on your data.
