Last updated: 1 November 2026
Who we are
SiteCabin is a product of Brightyard Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17511364), registered office Longlands Road, Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria LA23 3AS. Brightyard Ltd is the controller of the personal data described in this notice, and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration number ZC274214.
You can contact us about anything in this notice at support@sitecabinapp.co.uk.
What we collect
If you join the waiting list on our website, we collect your email address, your trade, roughly how many people are in your firm, and the date you joined.
If you join the waiting list through a Facebook or Instagram form, we collect your name, your work email address, your firm’s name, how many people work in your firm, and your answer to whether your firm uses Microsoft 365. We also receive the date and time you sent the form, and which advert you saw.
We don’t ask for anything else.
Cookies. Our website doesn’t set any cookies. See our cookie policy for details.
How we measure use of our website
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies or similar storage on your device, does not track you across other websites, and does not identify you personally. Cloudflare processes this data for us as our processor.
Why we collect it
We use your details to contact you about SiteCabin and the waiting list. That means telling you when SiteCabin launches and how to sign up, and replying to anything you send us. We use your trade, firm size and Microsoft 365 answer to decide when to invite you, and to understand whether SiteCabin suits your firm.
We won’t send you other marketing, and we won’t sell or share your details with anyone for their own use. We do not upload your details to Facebook or Instagram to build adverts, and we do not use them to find similar people to show adverts to.
Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by joining the waiting list, on our website or by sending a Facebook or Instagram form. You can withdraw it at any time (see "Your rights" below).
If you join through a Facebook or Instagram form
Some of our adverts on Facebook and Instagram let you join the waiting list without leaving Facebook or Instagram. These forms are run on Meta’s platform. Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (and its group companies, "Meta") provides them.
- What happens to your details. When you send the form, Meta passes your answers to us. We download them from Meta’s lead tool, add them to our waiting list, and then delete them from Meta.
- Meta’s own use. Meta runs Facebook and Instagram, and decides for itself how it uses information about you on those services, including information it has about you from before you saw our advert. For that, Meta is a separate controller, which means it is responsible for its own use of your data, not us. Please read Meta’s own privacy policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy). Brightyard Ltd does not control what Meta does for its own purposes.
- Our use. Once your details reach us, we are the controller of them. We use them only for the reasons in "Why we collect it".
- How long. We delete your details from Meta’s lead tool as soon as we have exported them, and within 7 days at the latest. After that the waiting list retention period below applies.
- The form. The form links to this notice and tells you in one line why we want your details: "We use your details to contact you about SiteCabin and the waiting list."
- Do I have to give all my details? You can leave the form at any time. We only ask for what we need to contact you and decide when to invite you.
Where it is stored and who handles it
Your details are held by these service providers, who process them on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare, which hosts this website, receives the waiting list form and stores the waiting list, under Cloudflare’s DPA with the Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum.
- Microsoft, which provides our email (Microsoft 365), where we receive a copy of each sign-up and any emails you send us.
- Microsoft, which provides the list where we keep the waiting list.
- Meta, for Facebook and Instagram forms, as set out above. Meta is not our processor for its own use of your data.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Meta may also process data outside the UK and relies on its own safeguards for that.
How long we keep it
We keep your details until we have told you SiteCabin has launched, and for no more than six months after the launch date. We then delete them, unless you have since signed up as a customer, in which case our customer privacy notice applies. If you ask us to remove you sooner, we will. Details sent through a Facebook or Instagram form are deleted from Meta’s lead tool as soon as we have exported them, and within 7 days at the latest.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- ask us to correct it
- ask us to delete it
- withdraw your consent at any time
- object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it
- ask us to stop using your details for contacting you
- ask for your information to be given to you, or sent to someone else, in a common format, where this applies
To do any of these, or to come off the waiting list, email support@sitecabinapp.co.uk. Every email we send you will also explain how to unsubscribe. We will respond within one month.
If you sent a Facebook or Instagram form, you can also use the controls in your own Facebook or Instagram settings for the information Meta holds. To ask us to remove your details, email support@sitecabinapp.co.uk and tell us the email address you used.
Complaints
If you’re unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first and we’ll try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects you materially, we’ll tell you before it applies.
