SiteCabin for plumbing and heating firms
Gas paperwork done on the phone, the service round run for you, and the rest of the office in the same app.
Gas, oil and heating records, filled in at the appliance
Your engineers fill them in on their phone, the customer signs on the screen, and the record is filed in your SharePoint and sent to the office the moment they finish.
- Gas service record: any gas appliance, natural gas or LPG, including boilers, gas fires, cookers and water heaters.
- Oil service record: pressure jet appliances, service, commissioning and inspection.
- Landlord gas safety record: the CP12, with every gas appliance at a rented property on one certificate.
- Gas inspection record: a homeowner’s own safety check.
- Leisure gas safety record: static caravans, holiday lodges, tourers and residential park homes.
- Non-domestic inspection record: plant rooms and boiler houses, from the meter in.
- Plant commissioning and service record: commercial boiler plant, with the readings and every safety control proved.
- Heat pump annual check: air source, covering the unit, the refrigerant and the system it heats.
- Hot water cylinder annual check: vented or unvented, with the relief valves and discharge route proved on an unvented one.
- Powerflush record: the water before and after, what was done, and the inhibitor put back in.
- Gas warning and advice notice: Immediately Dangerous or At Risk, signed for on the day.
- Not to current standards: not dangerous, but not how it would be done today, signed for on the day.
Every form has been checked by a Gas Safe registered engineer and is already in daily use.
The service round, run for you
Eleven months after each service, the office is emailed with last year’s record, and the property goes on the due list until somebody books it or the customer says no. Landlord records have a list of their own, because a landlord is in breach from the day one runs out. Book a visit from the list and it goes into the engineer’s day and into Outlook under its job number.
The rest of the office, in the same app
- Timesheets by job number, filled in daily, with the app doing the chasing.
- Job photographs, taken on site and filed to the job.
- Job completion, signed by the customer on the day, so the office can invoice without ringing round.
- Risk assessments, issued and signed on the phone.
- Cards and tickets, including Gas Safe ID cards, with a reminder before any of them runs out.
- Vans: defects, service, MOT and tax dates, and drivers’ declarations.
- Holidays, booked on the phone and approved by the office.
What it costs
The same as every firm: £75 a month covers your first 3 people, and each extra person adds £25 (people 4 to 10), £20 (people 11 to 25) or £15 (from the 26th), plus VAT. The first month is free. Work out what your team would pay.
SiteCabin is not connected with Gas Safe Register or OFTEC. Your engineers’ own registrations cover the work they do.
